A team and volunteers from Green Balkans working on the “Life for the Falcon” project (LIFE20 NAT/BG/001162) took part in an event in Sofia dedicated to the International Falconry Day, organized by the Bulgarian Falconry Union.
International Falconry Day is celebrated on November 16th — the date on which, in 2010, UNESCO included falconry in the List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The event aimed to promote the history of falconry, efforts toward nature conservation, and the connection between people and birds of prey. Green Balkans presented their work on restoring the Saker Falcon population in Bulgaria, talked about our project activities and the results achieved so far.
