The 9th “Hunting Falcon Festival” is coming up in the village of Malko Kadievo

On July 19 at 6:30 p.m., the ninth edition of the “Hunting Falcon Festival,” organized by “Green Balkans” as part of the “Life for the Falcon” project, will begin in the center of the village of Malko Kadievo. The festival, organized in collaboration with the “Mityo Stanev 1929” Community Center, traditionally marks the end of the active field season. It takes place precisely when the last young hunting falcon, raised and released by Green Balkans’ Wildlife Rescue Center, leaves the adaptation aviary where it has spent the last few weeks before flying completely free into the wild.

The festival gives every visitor the opportunity to learn firsthand about the cause of restoring this extremely rare and majestic bird species in Bulgaria. During the event, the project team will present the long-standing efforts, challenges, and results achieved through the fieldwork of Bulgarian conservation organizations. Many fun and educational surprises await attendees, and the organizers have also prepared special gifts for our youngest visitors. Come join us for this exciting evening in celebration of wildlife!
