The AGRA 2026 International Agricultural Exhibition, held from February 17 to 21 in Plovdiv, brought together representatives from the fields of science, business, and agricultural technology. The forum also showcased the latest solutions for the sector’s sustainable development.
The National Hunting and Fishing Association “Union of Hunters and Fishermen in Bulgaria” (NHFA-UHF) also participated in the exhibition, presenting its activities under the project “Ensuring the Recovery of the Endangered Saker Falcon in Bulgaria and Southern Romania” (LIFE20 NAT/BG/001162).
The NLRS-SLRB’s participation was aimed at promoting initiatives for biodiversity conservation in agricultural areas and fostering active dialogue with farmers. During the exhibition, representatives of the association held numerous discussions with farmers and industry experts, presenting opportunities for implementing sustainable agricultural practices that support both agricultural productivity and nature conservation.
Special emphasis was placed on the “Handbook of Good Agricultural Practices,” developed as part of the project. The publication contains practical recommendations for agricultural activities that create favorable conditions for the conservation of the saker falcon and other species inhabiting agricultural areas.
