Last weekend the Green Balknas team, part of the project Life for Falcons presented the conservation activities regarding the species at a photo exhibition and exchange of experience “Wild animals in Balkan mountain”.
Prominent photographers and artists took part in the exhibition, with their art, dedicated to the nature and wild animals. The visitors and nature lovers had the opportunity to enjoy 50 selected photographs and paintings.

The hosts of the event from the Karakashka House in Seliste village welcomed the guests in nice traditional atmosphere. They have prepared diverse program – nature walks and forest photohunt, demonstration of photography equipment, tasting of the home-made food, etc.

The Saker Falcon Romeo was the main participant in the lecture, which the team of the Wildlife Rescue Center held. Its main focus was to introduce the species and how to recognize it in the nature to the visitors as well as on the identification tags we give to the birds.

Inviting photographers in the activities for the supporting of the population of the Saker Falcons in Bulgaria is of key importance, because they can gather invaluable information and photographs during their photo trips.

We give our thanks to Kalin Mihaylov from Balkan Wildlife for the wonderful idea and the organization of this exciting event!
