Life for Falcons project took part in the event of the Bulgarian Falconry Union

For a second year in a row the Green Balkans team, part of the project Life for Falcons took part in the event Falcon race.
At the end of the weekend the traditional Falcon race, organized by the Bulgarian Falconry Union took place. The Green Balkans team visited the event.
The project team told the visitors including guests from Romania about the implemented in 2022 activities and about the forthcoming tasks for 2023.
They boasted with the largest number of newly hatched and released Saker Falcons in the Wildlife Rescue center and with the more often observations of falcons in the wild – due to the work done for the restoration of the species in Bulgaria.
The informal part of the event at the end gave us the opportunity to exchange information about the breeding and releasing methods, as well as field observations of Saker Falcons and other raptors.
