Trifonovden
Green Balkans team presented the Life for Falcons project in the Celebration of Wine and Trifon Zarezan. The village of Oryahovitsa in the Stara Zagora region hosted the celebration. Trifonovden is traditionally considered a holiday for winemakers, falconers, gardeners, and others.

After the traditional pruning of the vineyards and a blessing ceremony, locals and guests had the opportunity to explore the stalls of event participants.

Amidst smiles, wine, and a variety of displays, the team from the Green Balkans Wildlife Rescue Center was present, accompanied by student volunteers from Trakia University – Stara Zagora.

We spoke with visitors about saker falcons, the threats they face, and our ongoing activities under the "Life for Falcons" project. Helping us in this endeavor were our feathered ambassadors: the Common Buzzard Harry, the Tawny Owl Luli, and the Eurasian eagle-owl Mia.

Representatives and friends from the Bulgarian Falconry Union also participated, showcasing birds on hand.

We extend our gratitude to the Municipality of Stara Zagora for the invitation!
