The Green Balkans team visited a total of 10 rescue centers and zoos across Europe that focus on breeding various protected bird species, including Saker falcons.

The sites we visited included WWF Vanzago and CRAS Racconigi in Italy; CRR Geneva, Biopark Geneva, Sikypark, Zurich Zoo, Voliere Zurich, and the Nature and Animal Park Goldau in Switzerland; and Alpenzoo Innsbruck and the Eulen und Greifvögel Station Haringsee in Austria.

The visits were part of Green Balkans' activities under the "Life for the Falcon" project, aimed at enhancing the capacity of our organization, as well as our partners from various institutions and other organizations, in breeding, caring for, and rehabilitating wild animals, as well as combating wildlife crimes.

During the tour, our colleagues learned about the work of the places they visited, exchanged knowledge on breeding programs, and observed some of the logistical processes at the sites.
In return, our team shared information about our work, focusing on activities related to the Saker falcon and, in particular, the "Life for the Falcon" project, where Green Balkans is a partner.
