The Life for the Falcon project was presented to hunters in the Dylgopol region
The fountain in the village Partizani, near Dalgopol, brought together conservationists from Green Balkans and hunters from the region. The occasion was the official opening of the gazebo built next to the fountain, which was reconstructed by Green Balkans.
We introduced our new friends from the village’s hunting group, as well as representatives from local game reserves, to the activities of the Life for Falcons project. We also distributed guides for hunters, created as part of the project, which are excellent field assistants for recognizing and comparing hunting and protected bird species. We also discussed the issue of poaching, and together condemned this criminal act against wildlife. We emphasized that we are all on the same side – the side of nature’s friends.
The event was also attended by a group of students from the “Lord of the Birds” club at the Vocational School of Agriculture “Zemya” in the town of Provadia, led by Medzhnun Ademov. In addition to learning a great deal about the local bird species, they also became familiar with the activities of the Life for Falcons project and the work of its teams. The students had the opportunity to participate in, and even personally carry out, the release of rehabilitated birds from the Wildlife Rescue Centre - Green Balkans.
