The Green Balkans team of the project Life for Falcons took part in the Uzana Poliana ecofest near town of Gabrovo from 21 till 23 of June. On the information point the visitors could receive more details and materials about the threatened species on which return the organization works. The birds from the Wildlife Rescue and Breeding center in Stara Zagora – Harris’s Hawk Haris, and Common kestrel Vladko, who were ready for the photos with everyone who wanted to learn more about their way of life, physiology, and why they live in the Rescue center.
The Life for Falcons team together with a team of volunteers greeted everyone with a smile and explained them how to observe and recognize the species in the nature, what eats the Saker falcon and why it is important to save them in the Bulgarian nature.
For the children we were prepared an interactive game-puzzle dedicated to the endangered species and all of them received stickers and brochures about them,
The favourite part for everyone was the release of the 6 kestrels which we made together with the visitors.
