Green Balkans presented Life for Falcons project at Uzana Poliana Fest

From 19th till 21st of July Green Balkans project team was part or the green ideas festival – Uzana Poliana Fest.

There they told the visitors about the Saker falcon and the efforts dedicated to its return in Bulgaria, as well as of the activities within the Life for falcons’ project. 

Traditionally and as a gesture to the organizers and guests in the lawn in front of the stage we released 6 common kestrels and a buzzard, healed in the Wildlife Rehabilitation and Breeding Center of Green Balkans.

The buzzard Harry and tawny owl Luli was also part of our team and thousands of visitors enjoyed their interesting and touching stories.

We have prepared different challenges for the children, from which they learned a lot about the Saker falcon, nature protection and the environment.

We thank our helpers – students from the Trakia University, who were again supporting our team.
